House of Hope is a network of non-profit residential and outpatient treatment programs in SLC, Provo and Ogden, and has been serving Utah families since 1946. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, high-energy and efficiency, good judgment in stressful situations, strong computer and data collection skills as well as good public relations skills. This position requires working with mothers and children from high-risk backgrounds with multiple issues due to drug use, homelessness, poverty, violence, abuse, trauma, and parental incarceration. The applicant must supervise 5-8 staff, volunteers and interns in creating an environment for each age group that meets the children’s social, emotional and developmental needs as well as teaching mothers how to parent appropriately. Must have a basic knowledge of children’s mental health issues and early childhood development.
