The House of Hope, a network of non-profit residential and outpatient treatment programs in SLC, Provo and Ogden, has been serving Utah families since 1946.  For over 60 years, House of Hope’s SLC program has offered treatment to women and children and currently operates six facilities near the U of U including four residential houses, the main treatment center and the Hope Center for Children. The House of Hope in Provo serves 16 families of women and children at their residential campus. Position 1:   Part Time Cook -- Serenity House, Ogden  

Status: Part time                                                                                                                   Wage: $10-11/hr, based on experience                                                                           Description:  Ogden residential substance abuse treatment facility needs a cook to prepare meals and order food for co-ed program.  This position is a great opportunity for an applicant who enjoys cooking and managing the kitchen of a residential program in the non-profit sector.  This employee is responsible for food ordering, organization, and preparation for a residential treatment center providing three meals daily.  The cook is totally in charge of kitchen, inventory, menu planning and following menus, food preparation/cooking, licensing compliance and some basic educational cooking skills for the clients. The cook must enjoy simple, creative cooking and baking, as well as interacting with families in a helping profession. Previous experience working in a kitchen is required. Nutritional background also desired but not required.                                                                                             Hours: 25-35 hours daytime hours per week in this fun work environment!                           Other:  Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check. Position 2:    Full time Clinical Supervisor of Children's Services:  SLC and Provo
   Status:   Full time with benefits                                                                                   Wage:  Based on experience and training; also full benefits package                                   Hours: M-F 8:00-5:00; Mondays in SLC and Tues-Friday in Provo; occasional on-call Other: Current Utah Licensure as LCSW/LPC with at least 2 years experience after obtaining full licensure, no other licenses can/will be considered : computer proficiency, drug testing, background check required.                                                                       Description: House of Hope, a non-profit residential treatment program for women with addiction issues and their young children is seeking a fully licensed LCSW to oversee clinical issues of children’s treatment in Provo four days a week and in SLC one day a week. Applicant must be able to clinically supervise at least two CSWs and have a basic knowledge of children’s mental health issues and early childhood development. The position requires assessment, treatment planning, and caseload management for approximately 24 children ages 0-8 years in residential treatment with their mothers. Also responsible for oversight of documentation and service provision of children’s staff as well as some direct care with children and their mothers in individual or group interventions. Experience in Filial therapy, attachment issues, early childhood development, mother-child groups, parenting education, childhood trauma and working with the children of substance abusing mothers preferred. We are seeking a supervisor who can educate and mentor children’s staff to provide a quality day treatment program for children not yet in school and to model best practices in the mental health treatment of children. Position:3    FT CLINICAL DIRECTOR - PROVO

House of Hope has been serving women and children in Utah since 1953 and the Provo facility has added a spacious new wing of children’s classrooms, group rooms and offices to the main treatment center facility. Along with this growth, we are seeking an experienced clinician with 5+ years as an LCSW to clinically supervise the substance abuse and mental health treatment of the residents in the program. This position requires an experienced clinician to conduct and oversee the process of assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, core education curriculum, compliance with record keeping standards and to supervise staff and interns while collaborating with allied agencies in the community to create a continuum of care for high-risk families. Seeking high-energy, creative and dependable individuals to help us create a safe and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who have experienced high-risk situations like abuse or neglect, homelessness, parental substance abuse, etc.  Responsibilities include assisting lead teachers in classroom management and facilitating social/emotional curricula for age-appropriate development. Great experience for applicants interested in human services, social work, child development, child psychology or special education fields. Preference given to those with experience or education in child development, but willing to train motivated individuals. Positon: 6  SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION TEACHER (EVENINGS) – SLC
 

Status:   PT
Wage:    $14-17/hour range, based on experience and training; no benefits
Hours:   12-18 hrs/wk, 2 evenings a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-9 pm; other hours flexible
Other:    Current Utah Licensure as LSAC, SSW, CSW, CPCi, or similar, pass BCI, drug testing   Description:  This unique opportunity, for an individual who enjoys teaching adult classes and is also proficient in public relations and community outreach, involves creating a new community resource for those in recovery. Applicant must be comfortable teaching in a dynamic way to educate women who are court-ordered or self-referred to outpatient addiction services. This new program will be twice weekly and involve additional time to educate other organizations and recruit new students for 90 day episodes of the course. Requires record keeping skills, basic computer skills, basic understanding of substance abuse treatment, excellent communications skills and must be self-motivated to meet the goal of starting and maintaining a high-quality program following best practice methods of addiction treatment.  Preference given to candidates with experience in teaching, group work, substance abuse, women’s issues and public relations. Other:    Must be 18, pass BCI, drug test, must have reliable transportation and food handlers permit, must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.                                                          Description:  This position is a great opportunity for an applicant seeking training or experience in food service especially in the non-profit sector; this employee will work with our cook to provide lunch meal and do clean up after for the families in treatment at House of Hope. This is a relatively low stress, flexible environment and may be ideal for applicants seeking a second job or part time work during daytime hours.

Position: 9     HUMAN SERVICE TECH – Evenings, Graves, Weekends – Openings In SLC, Provo & Ogden!
  Status:    Part Time: graves, evenings and weekend shifts available                                     Wage:    $8-$9 hour depending on shift and experience                                                      Hours:    12-36 hours/week; Times depend on shift; approximate times: graves 10:30pm-8:30am, weekend shifts are 8:30am-3:30pm or 3:30-10:30pm; Evenings 2-10:30 pm (also hiring for partial shifts for backup staff)                                                                         Other:    Must be 21, BCI, drug test, CPR/FirstAid, TB test, reliable transportation w/good driving record;  must be able to climb stairs and lift 40-50 lbs and have basic computer skills.                                                                                                      Description:    This position supervises daily activities at one of our residential facilities for women and young children at House of Hope in SLC and Provo or co-ed in Ogden. Also ensures client safety and monitors facility including problem solving, completing reports, maintaining order and generally offering support to residents. We are especially seeking mature, reliable staff with good communication skills who value making a difference in the lives of families in our community. We are willing to train mature and motivated applicants with little or no experience.  This is a great opportunity for those seeking further experience in the social services field.
