For over 60 years, House of Hope’s SLC program has offered treatment to women and children and currently operates six facilities near the U of U including four residential houses, the main treatment center and the Hope Center for Children. The House of Hope in Provo serves 16 families of women and children at their residential campus. Serenity House, in Ogden, is a residential treatment center that has 25 beds for men and women. Status: Part time Wage: $10-11/hr, based on experience Description: Ogden residential substance abuse treatment facility needs a cook to prepare meals and order food for co-ed program. This position is a great opportunity for an applicant who enjoys cooking and managing the kitchen of a residential program in the non-profit sector. This employee is responsible for food ordering, organization, and preparation for a residential treatment center providing three meals daily. The cook is totally in charge of kitchen, inventory, menu planning and following menus, food preparation/cooking, licensing compliance and some basic educational cooking skills for the clients. The cook must enjoy simple, creative cooking and baking, as well as interacting with families in a helping profession. Previous experience working in a kitchen is required. Nutritional background also desired but not required. Hours: 25-35 hours daytime hours per week in this fun work environment! Other: Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check. Description: House of Hope, a non-profit residential treatment program for women with addiction issues and their young children is seeking a fully licensed LCSW to oversee clinical issues of children’s treatment in Provo four days a week and in SLC one day a week. Applicant must be able to clinically supervise at least two CSWs and have a basic knowledge of children’s mental health issues and early childhood development. The position requires assessment, treatment planning, and caseload management for approximately 24 children ages 0-8 years in residential treatment with their mothers. Also responsible for oversight of documentation and service provision of children’s staff as well as some direct care with children and their mothers in individual or group interventions. Experience in Filial therapy, attachment issues, early childhood development, mother-child groups, parenting education, childhood trauma and working with the children of substance abusing mothers preferred. We are seeking a supervisor who can educate and mentor children’s staff to provide a quality day treatment program for children not yet in school and to model best practices in the mental health treatment of children.
