We build futures and unify families to stop generational  substance abuse, child abuse and family violence.  This is accomplished by providing quality, affordable, substance abuse treatment, education, and prevention services to those who are in need.

Welcome to the House of Hope.

The House of Hope, founded in 1946, (formerly Utah Alcoholism Foundation) is the oldest provider of alcoholism and chemical dependency treatment and education services in Utah.  The House of Hope  is a private non-profit organization that provides a continuum of comprehensive drug-free alcoholism and chemical dependency treatment services for men, women, pregnant women, women with children, and mothers working to reunify with their children. Community educational services and DUI Prime for Life classes are also available.

You may know of someone or have a loved one who is struggling with addiction to drugs or alcohol.  At the House of Hope, our goal is to provide quality, scientifically based treatment services that help individuals with alcohol and drug addictions, and their families, to achieve self-sufficient, drug-free lifestyles, and to break the generational cycles of addiction, family violence, and the abuse and neglect of children.  The House of Hope's Women and Children's   Programs are located in Salt Lake City and in Provo, and the Serenity House co-ed adult program is located in Ogden, Utah.

Our programs are designed to provide a holistic treatment experience by addressing the biological, psychological, and social needs of our clients.  Treatment is supportive in nature, individualized to meet each person's needs, and focuses on recovery issues, such as: domestic violence, abuse, depression and mental health issues, interpersonal skills, employment, social  networks and activities, and parenting.  The House of Hope Women and Children's Programs also focus on the needs of each child to bring them up to their appropriate developmental levels.

DUI Prime for Life Classes are offered at the House of Hope Salt Lake City location, and at the Serenity House, Ogden, location.

If you need help, call 801-487-3276, our Corporate Office, or phone the individual programs at the numbers listed under Programs and Services.
