Thanks to the Communities for Providing a Wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season for House of Hope Men, Women, and Children

We want to thank each and every individual and business in Ogden, Provo, and Salt Lake City who helped provide a wonderful holiday season for the men, women and children that we serve.  Thanks to the generosity of our communities, we provided gifts, meals, and holiday cheer for over 200 people.  Many clients had a safe, happy holiday for the first time ever, and for the children, it was a time not to be forgotten.  For many children, this was the first stable living situation they have been in, and the first happy, healthy Christmas with a mother who was clean and sober.

We couldn't provide this service without the support and help of our community.  We wish each and every one of you a very happy holiday season and a  Happy New Year!

Serenity House Moves to New Facility

The week before Christmas was the week of the big move from Serenity House's old location to the new facility located at 2740 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Ogden.  The clients settled into a huge, lovely space with new bedroom furnishings, new sofas and loveseats, new kitchen chairs and tables, wall art, and office furnishings.

The Activity Area/Group Room

Thanks to our many donors, including the Utah Families Foundation, Wells Fargo, and the LDS Humanitarian Services, the new Serenity House looks great!

The Dining Room

The clients had a great holiday, and now both staff and clients are settling into the new space, making it more home-like.

The Hope Mobile Fund:    We’re Almost There!

House of Hope (SLC) is more than two thirds of the way to raising money to buy a mini-van, or as we call it, “The Hope Mobile.”  We need $18,000 and have received $12,000 so far—only $6,000 left to go.  This money will purchase the vehicle and pay for initial costs of insuring the 8 passenger van which will be used to transport women and children to doctor, therapy, or other appointments in inclement weather or urgent situations when waiting for the bus is a challenge.  If you are looking for a project that will help lots of families in an immediate way, mail your tax deductible donation to: House of Hope “Hope Mobile” Fund,

857 E 200 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84102-2317, or contact Lisa Heaton at lheaton@uafslc.org for more information.

Program's Wish Lists:

Serenity House is desperately in need of an 8-12 passenger van.

The Provo House of Hope is looking for individuals, groups, or businesses that would like to "Adopt-A-Dorm" and help them to refurnish bedding, drapes, bathroom rugs, paint, etc.  Call Darrell Noble, Director, at 801-373-6562 if you are interested.
